About
My name is Dan Moore. I live in Boulder, Colorado, and have been for almost 10 years.
I want to advocate for home vermiculture, particularly keeping redworms. It’s easy, even in a climate like Boulder, CO.
I like to blog. It’s harder, but still not that hard.
Thus I’m writing about my experiences as an urban worm keeper keeping redworms, and someone who is just plain interested in worms. I’ve kept worms since 2005, in one form or another.
I use them primarily for waste management–I’m trying to keep my organic matter out of the landfill. Secondarily, I use the vermicompost and castings on my garden plants, and as a distant third I try to distribute worms.
I am a small scale worm keeper, so I’ll be writing from the perspective of someone who doing this for fun rather than profit, someone with one worm box, not five windrows. But I reserve the right to post anything related to vermiculture.
